Private Healing Sessions

Experiencing an I AM Breath Session can help facilitate a quantum leap in your healing and growth process.

During an I AM Breath session Joa brings through guidance fromn the client's own higher self and gives homework following the session to anchor a perminant transformation.

It is not uncommon for a client to remark how a few sessions of the I Am Breath has freed them from long standing issues that years of conventional therapy could never resolve.

The 2 hour session includes a one hour breath journey to custom selected music or live drumming. Joa reads the condition of your chakras (energy centers), assist you with overcoming your issues, and empowering you to live your dreams. You will also be educated with how to be a better breather for the rest of your days. You will leave feeling sparkly and more clear about your life.

Learning BreathPlay

BreathPlay is the core technical component of the I AM Breath that can be used in all your daily activities and is particularly useful for increasing sports enjoyment and performance.

In 1986, I was taught this diaphragmatic way of breathing by the originator, Ian Jackson. Ian was a talented distance runner swimmer, cyclist, surfer, skin diver, and soccer player in earlier years. He first went the familiar route of runners who overwork: first to chronic fatigue, then to chronic injury and disappointment.

The search for a way out of these led him to yoga. Ian is the first person to see clearly the connection between two apparent opposites, yoga and athletics.

A restless experimenter, using his own body and mind as a laboratory, Ian modified a form of Pranayama (yogic breathing) called the Breath of Fire so it could be used for any athletic activity. He spent years perfecting it, called it BreathPlay, and then put it to the ultimate test by entering himself in the grueling Iron Man Triathlon in Hawaii. Ian finished in the teens out of the hundreds of participants. Others who crossed the finish line looked like they could keel over and die any minute. Not Ian. Only seconds after crossing the finish line, a reporter asked how he was feeling. Ian responded with a big smile on his face, “Champagne bubbles of bliss!”

After Ian taught BreathPlay to the US Olympic bicycle team, it went from a last placing team to the first placing team. BreathPlay has been the secret weapon of many of the top winning athletes of the world. John Howard, who was the greatest triathlete in the world of his time was powered by BreathPlay.

Ian says that BreathPlay is a systematic approach to exploring breathing as a basic living skill. It helps you get in touch with your personal power, and it enhances your life by helping you organize that power effectively. BreathPlay can bring extra enjoyment into your fitness program; it can give you the winning edge in athletic competition; it can help you keep your cool in the boardroom when everyone else is losing theirs. BreathPlay can keep you safe from pulled muscles as you lift the grocery bags out of the car or shovel snow off the walkway. One you’ve learned the basic skills, you can
use them to focus your resources in whatever way you choose.

After practicing BreathPlay daily for 24 years, teaching it to hundreds of patients and athletes, and observing how other mammals breathe, I have become convinced that Ian not only found a great breathing technique, he intuitively rediscovered our natural empowering way of breathing that was mostly lost long ago when most of the human species became saturated with fear and thus forgot it's naturally empowering ways.
